- What is the easiest and fastest way to place an order or contact us?

For the fastest response, please place your order through our Online Order Form. If you have any questions before placing an order, you can use our Contact Us Form.
We are usually baking, frosting and decorating, so are often unable to answer the phone. However, we understand that sometimes a phone conversation is preferred, so we try our best to return phone calls as soon as we are able.
- What is your minimum order requirement?

Since we make everything to order, our minimum order is as follows:
- For cakes, the smallest size we offer is a 9" round or 8" square, both which serve about 12 guests
- For cupcakes, 1 dozen standard size of the same flavor and frosting or 2 dozen mini size cupcakes of the same flavor and frosting - Where are you located? Can I pick up my order?

We do not offer a pick-up option, but do deliver for free within San Francisco. We are based in the SOMA district of San Francisco but do not have a retail storefront. Each and every cake is custom made to order and must be reserved in advance. Prices include delivery to anywhere in San Francisco.
Due to the high cost and complexity of parking downtown, weekday office deliveries may incur a $10 surcharge depending on location. Curbside delivery may be necessary but would not incur a surcharge. We will let you know in advance if your address requires this charge.
For orders outside of San Francisco, delivery is based on availability and priced by distance.
- How far in advance should I place my order? I need something for tomorrow! Can you accommodate?
Please place your order at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance to ensure we can accommodate your order. If you need something sooner, feel free to check our Availability Calendar on our Order page to see if your desired date is available. Weekend orders book up quickly, so we highly recommend at least two weeks notice.
- Do you serve corporate clients? I am organizing an office event and need custom cupcakes.
Yes! We have created custom cupcakes and cakes for office events, including celebrations, parties and meetings. We deliver to your office at a time that is convenient for you. We can also hand deliver beautifully boxed custom creations directly to your company's clients, customers or employees.
- Do you offer cake tastings?
We regret that we do not offer cake tastings. Since we are a small operation, we try to focus our time on meeting the high demand for our custom creations. Many of our customers are referrals and/or tried our creations at an event or party; we hope that the positive feedback you may hear about us will entice you to try us out!
- Do you charge a delivery fee? Do you deliver outside of San Francisco?
All prices include delivery to anywhere in San Francisco. Our customers love that they do not have to worry about having to safely transport a cake themselves to their party location. We can deliver to your home, event location, or office at a time that is convenient for you.

- I'd like to send my friend some cupcakes as a gift. Do you deliver cakes and cupcakes like florists deliver flowers?
Definitely! When you place your order with us, let us know the delivery time and recipient's delivery address. We will even include a card and/or personal message from you. Just make sure someone will be available to accept the delivery as we are unable to make multiple delivery attempts.
- Should I refrigerate my cake once it is delivered?
We will let you know if your cake requires refrigeration. Most of our classic butter cakes should NOT be refrigerated. Instead, leave it in the box at room temperature until you are ready to serve it. Only our whipped cream-based, French genoise, or carrot cakes should be refrigerated if they will not be served within a couple hours.
- Are you really able to customize a cake in any shape, size, flavor or design? What fees do you charge for special design work?
In most cases, YES! Just check with us. Customers love having their cakes or cupcakes designed to complement their party theme. We make layer cakes, shaped cakes, and even tiered cakes. If there is a cake flavor or dessert that you'd like that is not listed on our menu, we can probably still create it. It never hurts to ask. We also decorate cupcakes to match your theme and/or cake.

Have a very specific custom design in mind? The fee for specialty design work starts at $15 for cakes or $1 per cupcake and is priced based on complexity. Feel free to email us an image, send us a design description, or talk to us over the phone about your concept. There is no additional charge for basic piping, inscriptions and/or sprinkles.
- What kind of frosting do you use with your cakes? Do you work with fondant?
We are different from most other custom bakeries in that we specialize in using a unique, delicious-tasting buttercream to frost our cakes and hand-pipe all our designs. While fondant is more versatile to work with, we feel that it does not taste very good and therefore only craft cakes with buttercream. Frosting and designing with our homemade buttercream is indeed more labor intensive, but means your custom creation will taste amazing and look great.
- Do you only do birthday and shower cakes?
We create cakes and cupcakes for any and all occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, holidays or just-because. Take a look at our Photo Gallery for some examples of our previous work.
- When is my cake made? What kind of ingredients do you use?
Our cakes are never made more than 24 hours in advance of when you need it. Every cake is custom made to order. We use only the finest, freshest ingredients, including pure cane sugar, whole milk, farm fresh eggs, local artisan chocolate (Guittard and Scharffen Berger), pure vanilla extract, and sweet cream butter. Everything we make is from scratch. That's why our cakes not only look beautiful, they taste amazing too!
- Do you make dairy-free and/or sugar-free cakes?
We try our best to accommodate requests that meet dietary restrictions. Just let us know what your needs are!
